After getting into the room Imogen went straight to bed and laid face down.

"Ughhh" she groaned.

Jack tried playing along. Acting tired as well. But it seemed like she was actually beat tired.

Perhaps there was a wall between them. Everything felt harder now. Before, when they had ran away together, being together and fleeing everything in 

Westcity

seemed so easy. Now everything felt difficult. Even returning to their old respective lives.

It would probably be a matter of time. One of them would cave. Say they were going back. Imogen back to Alan and her cafe in Westcity and Jack... back to Jackie and Jill.

He felt the urge to text Jackie. He quieted the urge by leaving the room. Looking forward to a walk on the pier. But there was rain and a lot of wind so he ended up going to the cafe nearby and ordering a 

coffee

. He was one of the only people there. Two older people were laughing about something, talking about things Jack didn't care for.

Jack stared out the window. The endless sea. The horizon being the meeting of water and the sky. The coffee tasted more like coffee flavored water.
