The therapist's name was Carol. He called her Dr. Carol instead of her lastname. It was a joke they had. He talked alot about hi self. But also asked a lot of questions about her.

She grew up in the midwest. Moved out here to marry a man. Blayne never figured out who it was. Never asked. Seemed like an inappropriate question.

She used to have a practice in a college town. Because her office was right by the campus she got a lot of professors as patients. She never named any of them. Didn't describe them in details.

Blayne just liked knowing something about Dr. Carol's life. He didn't like having a one sided relationship with his therapists.

What would Dr. Carol say to do now. In her office she always made it sound like there was always a sensible option, no matter the situation. Would she think that about this? Was there something sensible to do here?

Blayne sucked on the cigarette. Trying to get the last bit of smoke into his lungs. Get that nicotine into his blood.

To him the most sensible thing to do was get help. But not the cops. He needed Danny.
