as reply to Heard Him Say

It was cold for August in Toronto that morning. There was no snow, but the air felt like winter. He was going to miss this while he was gone. In a way the chill made him feel a bit of comfort as he headed outside. No matter what happened, he at least got to feel winter in Toronto this one time.

Chubbs opened the door to the big body black suburban.

"Wagwan, Capo."

He nodded at his head of security and got into the car. He kept the phone in his pocket. This might be the final time he saw this drive.

"California boss."

"Cali."

Chubbs blew a deep breath. And repeated his boss' words. "Cali."

The private jet awaited, depending on traffic, about thirty minutes away. He would be travelling with 14 other people. In California he would be meeted at LAX by Chuck T's people. He was expecting to get at least 10 extra men from Chuck T.

The enemy would be well guarded. In his own territory. This would not be an easy job. Was this

even worth it he thought? The thoughts stuck with him as the highway blurred past in the window. The decision had been made. There were men who had told their families that they'd be leaving the country for a week or two. Hopefully it would be over before two weeks.
