He broke the silence by putting his earbuds in and watching the guy in the midwest. He was currently walking. Had been walking for several hours now. His roommate had not picked him up from the airport so he had decided to just walk home. This interested Pete. Because this is what you might do in the old days before cell phones. Actually scratch that. In the old days you'd just use the land line at the airport and call someone. No this guy in the midwest was a bit kooky. He must've gone through something. Wherever he had flown in from. Pete would try to find earlier videos of the guy to learn why he had been at the airport in the first place. But for now he was watching him walk. He had just gotten done with the diner food and now he was walking more slowly. All that food in his belly. But the guy seemed to be in better spirits at least.

Pete leaned back and touched his chin. He wondered whether the guy would make it home on foot. He was waiting to see if the guy would cave and just call a cab. There were people in the group chat discussing this too. Some were betting money. The biggest wager he saw was now $3,200.
