In an office far from the overcast pacific coast it was a sunny day. Tom walked into the office and chose to walk deep into the building without taking his sunglasses off.

He had returned from a long lunch feeling energized. His team was about to launch a new campaign for a product that the team had been working on for the past six months. It had been a slog but they had finally reached a stage where they were ready to bring things to market.

Until the lunch Tom had been pretty stressed. He did not feel confident about the timing. It felt both like his team was too late but also ill prepared. If only they had a few more months than the product would be so much better. But they were already months behind schedule.

But at lunch he was describing the project. It was a friend of his uncle he had gotten in touch with. Tom's uncle had reached out to him out of the blue saying that Tom's dad had disappeared without notice.

So the two had gotten lunch to discuss. Apparently there was no signs of where Tom's dad had run off to.
