Two months kidneys Macbook Pro beer starvation digital nomads

Darjee sold his right kidney so that he his family could eat for two months. They were starving and this was the only way. His parents were too old and sick to sell their
kidneys
, and he would never allow his wife to do such a thing. His daughter, well even they had their limits about morals and were unwilling to extract a kidney from a child.

He wished he had six more kidneys to sell. That would be a whole year's worth of food. Before the economic downturn he had had dreams of saving up to help buy a house. But now all that was on one thing. To beat
starvation
. There was a murmur about a man who cut off his left forearm to feed his family. Nobody had proof of it, and it was probably untrue, but the fact that Darjee was thinking about it showed just how grim things felt. Because it was something that he could believe. Maybe he had thought of it as well, subconsciously.

That night a pack of
digital nomads
arrived in Drajee's town. They had brought their fancy backpacks that probably had
Macbook Pro
s inside of them and they were all cheery about the cheap stay they were about to take. For their first dinner they went to a fish fry and stuffed their bellies and drank some
beer
. They ate fish and fried plantains until they could eat no more. And then they had cake for dessert.

Darjee happened to be walking by when he heard that distinctly westerner laughter.
