Cool, so today's my girlfriend's birthday. As part of our celebration I'm writing much less and dining indoors at a restaurant for the first time since last year. 

What's on the itinerary? The best 

sushi

restaurant in town and a 

tapas

bar. I'm also getting my first haircut since this thing happened as well.

We are both 30 now, I've arrived in the new decade one month before her, and I think out of most people we are one of the few who embrace this evolution. Seems like most people turning 30 were anxious about it. 

This is not a post saying that 30 is the new 20.... although I do think that for us that's true, but rather that whatever big things happen in life, you'll be alright if you got family with you. Keep the family close. And remember biology != family. You know who your family are. And you know when you got some. And I can assure you.... you will definitely feel it if you find out one day that you don't.
