Andrew arrived at the school with all the evidence needed to prove who the shooter was. Andrew was excited. He didn't have any 

family

. This would be the one thing he left behind. The one thing he would do to make his life worth it.

He imagined the town thanking him. Maybe he wouldn't be considered a hero, but they would think he did the right thing.

So it was a surprise to Andrew when the principal spun around in his chair and showed a face of utter boredom.

"You don't think we already know this?"

Andrew gripped his belly as he felt the pain pulsating through his body.

"But why hasn't anyone done anything? The kid. He's still in school. Still making videos..."

"Look sir I don't know who you are, but I don't think anyone wants a hero right now. You know we're going through a tough time."

Andrew left the school feeling disoriented. Back when he was in school they would've put the kid in jail or something. But now they were letting school shooters just run around free. What had happened to the world? Perhaps it was time for him to take his leave from it.
