some other sucker trains

as reply to The Train

He woke. The dream was over. Of course. There were no
trains
where he lived. Everybody drove. If you couldn't afford or were unable to drive a car then you were stuck. Few years ago he could hear the car from his old bed room. The house his parents lived in had been decent growing up. But sometime after high school they had built a freeway right next to it. After that you could hear the engines and tires rubbing against the road from his old bedroom.

Trains passed closeby to neighborhoods in Europe. It was peaceful that way. Strange that cars and semis didn't afford the same kind of peace. There was less order. Less of a feeling of progress with automobiles. Instead there was a feeling of disconnect.

Still, Max enjoyed taking the car and riding it along the highways. Being the nuisance of noise pollution to some other sucker out there. Some other Max.
