Reading Drew and Abe's ping-pong. It's all that's going on here but it's going well. I'm liking this college angst Westcity story. Started with The Lighter and went up to today's post and then went all the wat back to https://adagia.org/content/12701. Somehow feeling the Dick and Jimmy flow better than Marc and Kevin and the motel. The money anxiety really sells it too. It's good. But now it feels like I'm interrupting.
We both imagined how cool it might be to have a story that is built by more than two people.
This story goes way back. Some of the threads are broken because we didn't reply directly to a prior post.
The original post that started it all was this one:
There's also this other thread:
The best thing about writing together has been the different worlds and characters we've explored together. Like there's the story of Keith and Marianne living in space via
There's been Denver and Blue driving across the country in a .
There's the man in the expensive suit.
The diner in . Maxxx with his vanity license plates. The restaurant. The . etc etc etc
and I joked how we would be doing this for decades. The story compounds in value over time becaues when you look back at it... it's not whether the writing was good or not that matters. But rather the fun and giggles and meaning had along the way.
PS this drew is different than the other drew
It is a bit confusing picking up all the threads, but also an interesting part of the adventure. It's like a mindmap novel that can go off in different directions, some of which then end up being dead ends. It's creative.
I figured it was just one of the Drews. I call the other one Drewy Hendrix.
