At the store they finally got Jerry to call the police. Two men showed up. Were unhelpful.

Elena wanted to go back to the apartment in the night after her shift. But was too scared to go alone. Was more scared to ask Kevin if he'd go with her.

She could ask Candace to go. But the idea of her roommate's company on such a mission felt wrong. She wished she could talk to Marc. She sent a text to his number. Not expecting a reply. Hoping for one though.
