but right now gun New York eyesight

as reply to Call you Back

Joey left his gun on the dresser before heading out. He had thought about bringing it. But why bring a gun to a funeral? Was that even legal, he wondered.

He had bought this gun with his friends during the weekend of Joey's 21st birthday party. It had made them feel so safe. They were young and had good
eyesight
. If they were to get into a fight they would blast the enemies.

Now one of those guys was dead. Did the
gun
even protect him. What if Kevin had gotten shot only because he had a gun?

They were older now. Joey barely touched that gun. Only brought it back out because of Kevin's death. He had to dig up the black box hidden away in the closet. Taking this out brought him back through memory lane.

He stood there thinking about how much time had passed. How much he had changed. How so much had stayed the same.

He ran his hand across his chin. He had to shave. But he had shaved the day before. It was too early to cut himself already. He liked to keep at least 48 hours between shaves. He'd have to just go to the funeral with a little stubble.

Everything seemed to be going wrong in his life. Joey laughed. Who was he to say that. His friend was dead. Damn, Joey thought. Wished he was still back in
New York
. Wished he had shaved two days earlier. Wished they had never bought these damn guns that weekend.

But right now. He had a funeral to get to.
