The drive home was what he needed. Just under two hours of time to think and process what had happened. He had woken up thinking it was Layla's arm over him. but it had actually been McKayla's. Damn he thought. He ought to be happy he had gotten laid but he was just paranoid now that Layla would find out. How had the two of them split the night before? he tried to continue on form the memories he still had. The bar. Being there and singing

with his brother. Cigarettes outside with McKayla and talking about how different the friends back home were compared to those made after moving to campus. Memories of Pat always watching him throughout the bar.

Then the memories ran out. Became black. No idea how he ended up back at McKayla's. He tried to remember some scene of walking back in the night. Cool air. Orange street lamps. But he couldn't remember anything. He must've been real drunk.
