There was glass everywhere, and coffee beans covered the floor. The neat bags stacked normally were pulled down and full of holes. Dave stayed low, hard to see him from outside, he looked toward the bathroom. The first place someone would look, but the only place with a locked door....

"Here you go sir, uh thats a really flat white." He lowered his tone a little."Sorry sir our manager makes us say that, its just a normal flat white."

He was at Cash's Cup, a new shop in  Westcity . At least thats what the sign made him believe.

It would be like, he looked at his watch, two hours until she got there. The sun was already setting, and it cast everything in orange. He was hopeful. Don't ask him why, just he had a feeling that all the bad shit in his life was over. He knew...

She was excited. She put on make-up and her perfume, and a everything all for the flight. Although she knew Keith didn't care, they traveled all around sleeping in a van somehow it felt different. Like when she was kid and her parents let her stay up late and watch...

"Yeah so we got a special show for you tonight."

"Yeah listener's your not gunna believe this."

"And you are who? Dave's brother."

"The Sea side rest victim yes. The only murder I might add in an otherwise safe community."

"Yeah, hmm. Well listeners you know how this goes....

The coffee wasn't on the brewing when Greg walked into the office. The normal 9 am smell was missing that was the first thing.

"Morning Stacy."

Silence in response. Weird he thought, maybe she's having a bad day. Not gunna let it ruin mine.

"Hey Pete."

Again silence. 

Greg got to his desk but...

The bulletproof was starting to bug him, as he walked back to the hotel. Normally he wouldn't care, but it just seemed like too much. 

The sounds of waves crashed onto the shore and then retreated back. He wanted to run and jump in. Let the water wash over him....

Matts eye's found him easy enough. He pretended to play a game, while this guy, Dave, just strolled around the pier. He didn't seem dangerous Terry thought, he just watched and waited. 

He looked around bored a bit. Looked out the ocean, then back to make sure Dave didn't leave....
