Although I'm normally on the path to reducing monthly payments, I recently had a look at
Blinkist
(https://www.blinkist.com/). I noticed that I've been reading way too little in the last few weeks.
They've got a seven-day trial, so no money was "wasted" yet, but I'll admit I find their summaries pretty interesting. So far, I've only listened to German titles, but I plan to listen to the
Dave Asprey
books therealbrandonwilson talks about in his newsletters.
I know reading a summary will never compare to reading a whole book, so I will also use Blinkist to look at books I was thinking about purchasing in the past. If it is available there, I can make a better decision if I want to buy it.
Besides, I finished another
Isaac Asimov
novel and am trying to fix my sleep again. The heat here in
Austria
makes me hit the snooze button way more than I should. I've also noticed some
blood sugar level
spikes recently (https://life.phaidenbauer.com/life), but I know the reason for them (either
alcohol
or eating fruits before bed).
Why am I writing this? Well, because I still care about our
Writing
community here, although I'm not actively participating. After fixing sleep again, I hope to join the
5amClub
again and start writing more publicly (my
diary
has had a streak since the end of November 2022).
Thanks. It does a pretty good job of keeping my emotions and thoughts of the day. I'm looking forward to reading some of those thoughts in a few years and probably laughing at them.
