Jack couldn't win in high school. On the internet he was known for being jacked. But that was because you could just get swole and look big in pictures.

In high school you had to actually be big or fast to win. Jack couldn't win back then. Wasn't over six foot. Had frail wrists. Shoulders not so wide. A guy named Kyle Sardisnsky smoked and drank every weekend, but he was 6'2 and a lean 195. Varsity football star. Jack didn't drink a drop. didn't smoke. Hit the weights even during weekends. Still couldn't compete.

But after college things changed. There was the internet. And Kyle was just becoming an overweight, drunk nobody. Jack was becoming a somebody. Fame. Money. And he felt damn good about it.

Only that years later once the fame and money felt old. Jack began wondering. What did he actually win?

Was this winning? was the question he thought.

He came out of the nap thinking this. The sentence on repeat. Running through his mind.

What was I winning?

It was evening when the nap was over. Later than he had planned. He was craving a stroll and maybe a cold beer at a dive bar. He headed out.
