Hungry Car Hyundai miles MPG gallons gasoline

My
Hyundai
has about 132,000
miles
on it. Given its
MPG
around 23 in the city and 30 on the highway and my driving patterns, I estimate that this car has now burned roughly 5500
gallons
of
gasoline

That's a lot of gas! And calculating by the average price of gas over the past 11 years I can say that over $13,000 dollars have been spent on gas alone. Couple that with the oil changes every 4000-6000 miles and the transmission fluids that have been changed twice now and you can see that much more money has been spent on fluids going into the car then has on the car itself.

Amazing how that works. I schedule maintenance on this car in a manner that can get it well over 200,000 miles. But my driving patterns aren't that high mileage. So we'll see if the Hyundai can get there. For now it's still smooth sailing.
Keep that baby going because now is a terrible time to buy a new or used car.

It's a 2010 with 73k miles. I fill up for gas maybe once every three weeks.

When i'm not traveling I'm similar for gas fillups. Actually even once a month! But reason my car has more miles than yours is because of the trips to
Michigan
I take.

By the way amazingly
williamliao
's 2015 vehicle has less than 26k miles on it! He's on a similar track to you lol.
