The Wedding.

Church and Reception.

Church service started by 10am, ended by 2pm. Traditional Church. Some said we should be grateful it didn’t end by 4.

Drove to the venue of the reception.

Lots of old faces. Lots of friends. Lots of pictures.

Lots of tiredness too.

I just want...

In a world where you can be anything, be kind

"In a world where you can be anything, be kind" -  Jennifer Dukes Lee

The above quote gets better each passing day.

In a world of almost endless possibilities, where almost anything is possible. One must be deliberate about being kind.

In a world where access to information has been democratised....

Re: Corruption

keni wrote about corruption. I cleared off what I'd typed three times when I was trying to comment on the post. There was just too much to write.

Corruption is complex. It's way more complex in developing nations. In such a society, corruption is...

Thinking about Freedom.

Freedom is responsibility. When you're not optimizing for freedom people make decisions for you. Schools set the curriculum and timetable for you. Groups dictate or call the shots on how you'd spend your day/month/year.

But when you're optimizing for freedom, or you've got time on your hands. All those...

Gratitude 2020

All God does in the earth, he does through people.

I'm so grateful for the gift of people this year. In a very wild year, where something as simple as getting a haircut was a luxury, you gotta be thankful for anything you've got.

Thankful for friends who were always around all...

Cold & Catarrh

It's harmattan season over here.

It's not as dry as it used to be. But i've got cold and catarrh. I've been sneezing all day with running nose. It's been like that for days. I've completed a dosage of Procold, I haven't gotten any better.

I would go for lab tests tomorrow.

The Internet Mob

Today on Twitter, a fellow who had been accused of rape recently came out and proved his innocence. Alas, the screenshots of the supposed victim were fabricated. The accused had his name and achievements dragged through the mud throughout last week.

He was vindicated today. The "social justice warriors" who had...

Mentoring is hard, or maybe it's not.

It seems two styles exist;
1) where the mentor tries to make a remould of himself in the mentee
2) where the mentor just guides and corrects the mentee but allows him to give expression to innate creativity.

The most reasonable argument for style one is that,...

Greatness. Mastery. Stephen Curry.

There's a video (click this text) of Stephen Curry in practice where he did over five minutes of shooting without a miss. That's over 100 NBA 3 pointers in a row.

Now, when you see such greatness there are two ways to react to it. Just two ways. No middle ground,...

Silver Bullet

The euphoria of a new productivity app, a new gadget, a new book, a newfound guru could be so thrilling.
You almost think it would solve your problems, especially if you've wanted that thing for a long time.
Someone said we tend to overestimate what we've lacked for so long. Almost to...

Innovation won't die.

Came back from my church retreat yesterday and I was trying to catch up on emails. One email from AngelList had this statement. "There’s an ongoing debate whether humans have reached “peak intelligence.”.

Later in the afternoon, I got an invite to join Clubhouse, the hot drop-in platform. I dropped in...
